Your initial appointment is used for us to obtain a complete dental/medical history and evaluate your present dental condition. We will take photos for your records and take any needed x-rays. (Read about our x-ray protocols). You will have ample time to chat with Dr. Horiyat and discuss your concerns.
If you’re coming for x-rays, you should consider taking higher doses of antioxidants. Liposomal Glutathione, Vitamin C, Delta Tocotrienol, and Vitamin E are all good supplements.
A thorough oral examination will be completed, and your general health will be discussed. If your case is complicated, models may be taken, and a second visit may be required to discuss options and review a customized treatment plan.

What to Expect?
Necessary Digital X-rays And/or Panoramic Imaging
At Aria Dental, if it is necessary, we take x-rays for your baseline. Our hi-tech digital X-rays use up to 90% less radiation than film x-rays to look for any cavities between teeth, determine the jawbone level, analyze the health of your bone, and examine the roots and nerves of your teeth.
Intraoral Photography
We take pictures of the inside of your mouth, using HD IRIS 3.0 Intraoral camera. Then images of your teeth will be sharpened, magnified, and projected onto LED monitor for closer inspection. These images help our dentists to get a closer look at any hidden problems and help you to enhance your understanding of your diagnosis.
Facial Photography
If you are interested in cosmetic dentistry, we take your facial pictures to evaluate your smile and facial analysis.
Oral Exam & Consultation
After reviewing your dental and medical health history, Dr. Maryam Horiyat will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth, gum, bite, and your overall smile. Then Dr. Horiyat will discuss your goals and concerns regarding your oral health and smile because as an IAOMT-certified holistic, biological, and integrative cosmetic dentist, she understands the connection of your teeth to the rest of your body.

Digital 3D Cone Beam CT-Scan
At Aria Dental, we are equipped with a Cone-Beam Computed Tomography System (CBCT), which allows our professional dentists to capture three-dimensional (3D) images of your dental(teeth), maxillofacial (mouth, jaw, and neck) anatomy). CBCT provides a safe, fast, non-invasive way of answering several clinical questions; it can be used for implant planning, visualization of abnormal teeth, evaluation of the jaw and face, cleft palate assessment, diagnosis of dental caries (cavities), endodontic (root canal) diagnosis, cavitation (jawbone infection) diagnosis, and diagnosis of dental trauma.
Digital Occlusion (Bite) Analysis
Our dentist uses T-scan, a computer bite analyzer, to precisely, non-invasively, and digitally study the relationship between occlusal surfaces of opposing teeth and their associated functional harmonies. The analysis will identify the corrective measures that are necessary to harmoniously balance the function dynamics of occlusion.
Digital Impression with 0% Radiation
At Aria Dental, we have implemented the latest technology of digital impression (also known as 3-D intraoral scanning and iTero scanning). This technology helps us to eliminate messy & gooey impressions and utilize digital impressions with no more gaging, fast & precise, and virtually perfect impression of your teeth.
Painless, No Syringe & Digital Local Anesthesia
We have implemented the latest technology of computer-assisted system for local anesthesia…NO MORE SYRINGE. Our WAND Anesthesia System offers Painless Anesthesia, More Comfort, & Less Anxiety; it also offers No Collateral Numbness so only damaged teeth are numbed, instead of entire sections of the jaw and face.

Diagnodent Laser Cavities Detection
An advanced laser technology that detects early cavities in the grooves of teeth and around an old filling. It is important to detect early cavities because they could be reversed by Ozone (O3) therapy without allowing them to progress to the point to need a dental filling.

The goal of oral cancer screening is to identify mouth cancer early when there is a greater chance for a cure.
