Why Do I Need Oral Surgery?

Do you know that not only your jaw and gums, but also your body’s health react to the loss of even a single adult tooth, untreated gum disease, or an impacted tooth? That is why the American Board of Oral Surgery Doctors and Periodontists recommend wisdom teeth removal, surgical periodontal therapy, osseous surgery, or dental implant placement to bring life back to your oral and overall health. Bone loss, impacted (unerupted) teeth, uneven jaw development/deformities of the jaw or mouth, maxillofacial trauma, and many other conditions may make Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery necessary to restore your ability to lead a happier and healthier life.

Gum disease, also called periodontal disease is a progressive condition that can weaken your smile and even result in tooth loss; it is a degenerative condition primarily caused by harmful bacteria found in plaque. The problem is not with the dentist rather than the assistants. Nothing got accomplished as they lead me to believe a simple fix would be 125 dollars. When they came back it was over 10000. It would have been nice if they informed me prior to appointment that insurance does not cover any or little of Holistic Dentistry. After experiencing what I thought was a chipped or cracked tooth, I went to Aria Dental on the strong recommendation of friends

The diagnosis was thorough and to my relief, it wasn’t a tooth after all. This guy here was overdue for a deep cleaning by a few decades!

Today, I had my appointment and I was slightly hesitant and simultaneously relieved to finally be getting this done.

Connie was my technician. I’m sure there is a more appropriate term. Nevertheless, Connie handled the procedure better than I could have imagined!  Even the sedation was painless…how did she do that?

Connie was very expert during the entire 2+ hours and even made me laugh more than a couple times.

The bottom line is that I can’t say enough good things about the operation that Maryam runs and I will not be doing much more regular maintenance. I’m hoping they give me Connie every time. She was fantastic!
